| The construction of
a Vanmaster begins with the solid Ash furniture which is hand built by our
dedicated craftsmen. |
|
| Over a two week period,
the wood is cut according to the specification of the design and sanded using
high quality specialist machinery. Once pressed it is then finished, giving
the unique Vanmaster feel. |
|
| Once the heavy duty
Al-Ko ATC chassis is built, the Alde under floor heating is fitted to the
handmade floor which is treated for durability. The floor is cured for a
period of 24 hours and is sealed to the underside to provide protection against
the elements. The adhesives used in the construction of the floor have been
tested to a temperature of 100 degrees showing no signs of
delamination. |
|
| The aluminium panels
are specially made for Vanmaster to a thickness of 0.7mm, being substantially
thicker than the industry standard. They are insulated using Polyfoam and
are pressed overnight. Once bolted to the floor the Alde wet heating is installed
to Alde recommended standards. This ensures the most efficient heat circulation
as Vanmaster are unique in that we construct a false floor under all furniture
and all pipework is boxed in as per best practice. |
|
| A specialist team fits
the hand built furniture using traditional, proven methods. Typically, over
a five day period, the internal fixtures and fittings are completed. Over
5,000 screws are used in the construction of a Vanmaster caravan, all of
which are pilot drilled to the correct size. The shower is unique to Vanmaster,
having a more substantial base. All bed slats are constructed using Columbian
Pine for strength and longevity. |
|
| The internal wooden
roof, which is lined with velour, is then fitted to the sides and rear of
the caravan. The electrical harness is installed above the internal roof
allowing all wiring to be neatly hidden from view. A thick layer of
environmentally friendly insulation is added before the one piece fibreglass
roof is fitted, the design of which is moulded for strength and controlled
water dispersal. |
|
| These proven construction
techniques, and skills and materials used, ensure that a Vanmaster caravan
is both incredibly strong and enduring. At Vanmaster, we are proud of the
caravans we build. |
